Practice Overview
A multi-site hospital system is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a nocturnist role in a busy, well-supported Emergency Department. The group provides comprehensive emergency care to a diverse community and offers flexible overnight scheduling, stable volume, and strong clinical and administrative support.
Emergency Medicine Team

30+ Emergency Medicine physicians and APPs in an integrated department

Focus areas include EMS, Ultrasound, International Emergency Medicine, Wilderness Medicine, and Quality & Patient Safety

Residents from a nearby training program rotate through the ED, providing academic and teaching opportunities

All sites use a single EHR platform for seamless patient care
Schedule & Hours

Core schedule: 24–32 clinical hours per week

Overnight/nocturnist shifts with substantial differential

Weekends required, with flexibility in structure:

Option A: 28 hours per week with 1 weekend per month

Option B: 24 hours per week with 2 weekends per month

Physicians have meaningful input into scheduling and site assignment
Requirements

MD or DO (or foreign equivalent)

Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)

Eligible for unrestricted medical license in Massachusetts
