- 12-hour shifts, 14 shifts per month
- Schedule includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Dedicated in-house coverage — no competing outpatient responsibilities during your shift
- Provide care for any unassigned patients who present to L&D, or, if requested, in consultation with the ED
- Provide triage for patients presenting to OB ED services.
- Perform vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, and other services for patients of the attending Obstetrical providers in coordination with the patient's Obstetrical Providers, or in an emergency situation.
- Serve as a surgical assistant for the attending Obstetrical providers.
- Be available to support the Certified Nurse Midwives and Advanced Practice Providers.
- Qualifications
- MD or DO required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible – ABOG
- 3–5 years post-residency clinical experience or OB/GYN fellowship training preferred
- High proficiency managing high-risk pregnancies and complex obstetric emergencies
- High proficiency in operative vaginal deliveries and complex Cesarean sections
- High-level fetal heart rate tracing interpretation
- Active or eligible NY medical license
