Job Summary
A leading health system in Northern Illinois seeks a Board Eligible or Board Certified Colorectal Surgeon to join an expanding surgical team. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a high-quality, community-based colorectal surgery service line supported by an experienced regional surgical network.
Practice Includes:

Full-time practice encompassing outpatient, inpatient, surgery, and consultations.

Strong referral network of over 350 employed providers.

Partnership with a board-certified urogynecologist to establish a comprehensive pelvic floor program.

Participation in the general surgery call pool with no requirement for acute care or trauma surgery call.

Faculty appointment opportunities and resident teaching potential.

Access to state-of-the-art surgical facilities featuring:

15 surgical suites on the Rockford campus and two additional suites in Belvidere.

Three DaVinci Xi robotic surgery systems.

Regional cancer center with participation in clinical trials.

Active tumor conference participation.
Education

MD or DO – Required
License/Certifications

Active DEA license or ability to obtain prior to or upon hire – Required

Active Illinois medical license – Required

Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Colorectal Surgery (Board certification required within 5 years of hire) – Required

Bi-annual CPR certification – Preferred

This position offers a highly competitive salary guarantee with wRVU-based production incentives and a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
