Hospital & Office Schedule:

Monday – Friday

Hospital: 8am – last consult (typically until 4pm)

Office/Clinic: 1 full day in office to start; gradually increasing patient load

New Physicians: 1 patient per hour (gradually increased)

Maximum After Training: 3 patients per hour

New Patients: 2 appointment slots

Support: Office RN/APP available to assist physicians

Hospital Assignment:

4 days/week: Hospital-based, mix of EP consults and cases

Primary Responsibility: EP consults and cases; assist with general cardiology as needed

Facility: Main hospital with a new hybrid EP lab, expanding services

Average census: ~50

Daily Staffing: 3 APPs, 2 non-invasive physicians, supported by 2 interventional physicians

Complex Cases: Access to additional regional referral centers for advanced care

Reading Time:

½ day of reading factored into business hours when possible
Call Schedule:

Weeknight Call:

EP physicians: 1 night every other week (phone only, 4pm–8am)

On-site emergencies after hours: Covered by interventional physicians

Two physicians on call each night: One non-invasive/EP, one interventionalist

Weekend Call:

Every 5th weekend: General call and rounds (Saturday & Sunday)

EP physician covers 1 night (phone only), low call volume

Emergencies after rounds: Covered by interventionalists

Compensation & Benefits

Year 1 Salary: $450,000 + $25,000 sign-on bonus = $475,000 total

Year 2+ Salary: $475,000 + eligible productivity bonus
