– Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner AGACNP for trauma and acute care surgery service
– Position type: Full time
– Shift length: 12 hours, 7 am – 7 pm 
– Shift type: Day
– Base Pay: Commensurate with experience (For 2-4 year experience, It’s $74.55 per hour with $100 hour night differential)
– 475+ bed Level I trauma center
– In-house trauma surgeons and nurse practitioners 24 hrs 
– The role of the APP is autonomous, dynamic, and fast-paced
– Clinically manage trauma and acute care surgery patients through the continuum of care; rounding, completing discharges, seeing new surgical consults, and responding to traumas in the ED
– Requires independent decision-making abilities and collaboration with rotating resident physicians, attending surgeons, subspecialty consultants, and multidisciplinary team of experts
– Attend surgical clinic every Wednesday to evaluate post operative patients with census ranging from 10-12 patients    
Experience Requirements: 
– Minimum (1) year of inpatient NP experience strongly preferred (preferably in Trauma Surgery) 
– Will consider new graduates with RN experience in Trauma/Surgical ICU
Education Requirements: 
– MSN 
– Graduate of an accredited NP program approved by the BRN 
– DEA current 
– ACLS/BLS 
– ATLS upon hire
